Every INSIGNI table is individually made, allowing material, proportion and process to guide the final form — whether created for the Studio Collection or as a private commission.
Material Selection
Every INSIGNI table begins with the selection of timber.
Hardwoods are selected for grain structure, character, and long-term stability, ensuring each piece retains both visual depth and structural integrity.
Natural imperfections are not removed, but considered — contributing to the individuality of each table.
Refined Resin
Resin is introduced with restraint, designed to complement the timber rather than dominate it.
Colour, transparency, and flow are carefully controlled, allowing resin to enhance natural form while maintaining balance and clarity.
The result is contrast without excess — refinement rather than decoration.
Design & Proportion
Every table is designed specifically for its intended space.
Scale, thickness, edge profile, and leg placement are considered in relation to function and environment — from intimate dining rooms to large-scale boardrooms and collaborative environments.
Proportion is treated as a design discipline, ensuring each piece feels grounded, balanced, and purposeful at any scale.
Finishing
Finishing is completed by hand, allowing surfaces to develop depth, clarity, and a tactile quality.
Attention is given to edges, transitions, and surface consistency — details that define how a piece feels as much as how it appears.
Made Individually
INSIGNI works through both private commissions and self-commissioned pieces.
A private commission begins with a client, a space and a brief. A self-commission begins in the studio — with a remarkable piece of timber, an idea, or simply the opportunity to make something worth making.
Both are approached in exactly the same way: individually, with material, proportion and finish considered for that particular piece.
The result is furniture defined by material honesty, considered design, and quiet confidence at scale.
