Drift 1/3 is formed from a slender piece of solid walnut, selected for the strong contrast between its pale sapwood and dark, flowing heartwood.
A narrow channel of Mocha resin follows the natural live edge, preserving the irregular line of the timber rather than imposing a manufactured shape upon it. Knots, fissures and changes in grain remain visible, giving the piece much of its character.
Its long, narrow proportions make Drift 1/3 particularly suited as a console or occasional table, while remaining compact enough for hallways and smaller spaces.
Hand finished to a smooth satin sheen, the walnut retains the texture and variation that make the original slab unique.
