Memory II is formed from solid sycamore, selected for the flowing grain and tonal variation revealed within the slab.

Two natural channels move through the timber, stabilised with dusk-tinted resin that creates darker bands flowing across the surface.

The contrast between the pale sycamore and the deeper resin tones produces a strong visual rhythm, emphasising the natural movement within the wood.

This piece forms part of the Memory Series, two tables created from the same original slab.

While sharing the same origin, each table reveals a different expression of the timber’s character, preserving the natural variation that existed within the tree.

The resin is used with restraint, strengthening the structure while allowing the organic forms and delicate grain of the sycamore to remain dominant.

Viewed from different angles, the surface reveals shifting patterns of light and depth, while the refined chamfered edge keeps the overall form balanced and visually light.
